February, 2012 Chapter Meeting Notice:

Chapter meetings for February, 2012, will be held on the following dates:
NE Meeting: Monday February 13, 2012 at the Greenwood Inn located at 3515, 26th Street NE.
Downtown Meeting: Thursday, February 19, 2012 at CAPP located at 350 – 7 Avenue SW – lower level Discovery/Chambers room.

The doors open at 11:30 and the meeting begins at noon. Register by clicking on the registration button and complete all the information (credit card only).

The Speaker: Eric Stein

The Topic: Heart Health and the Workplace.

How to keep your heart healthy.
How does an unhealthy heart affect the workplace?

Speaker Profile:
Eric Stein - Canadian Occupational Resource Consultants - Eric has been an occupational health nurse for 13 years, having worked in a variety of fields including; health care, petrochemicals, and public sector industries. Presently, Eric works as a consultant in training and educating workers and organizations on topics of industrial hygiene, health and safety, health promotion and infection control. As well as holding a post degree certificate in occupational health nursing, he is nationally certified in Canada and the USA as a specialist in Occupational Health Nursing. Additionally, Eric holds a CRSP as a registered safety professional. Eric received additional specialized training in Industrial Hygiene and Safety from McGill University (focusing on chemical and biological hazards in the workplace). Eric holds a bachelors of science in nursing, and a master's of education specializing in workplace education and training.

Pre-registration and payment is required! SAVE $10.00 with Early Bird registration: $30.00/members and $35.00/guests, after early bird deadline (midnight February 9, 2012 for NE Meeting and midnight February 12, 2012 for downtown meeting) registration is regular price $40/members, $45.00/guests. If you are unable to register by the early bird cut off, please register prior to the morning of the meeting to ensure the appropriate sized room is reserved and there is lunch for everyone.

Cancellation Policy: Notice must be given by emailing the meeting notifier cssecalg@telus.net before the midnight cut-off on the Thursday before the meeting in order to receive a credit only for the next month’s Chapter Meeting (No Refunds).
